How to Hold a Green Event

Lend-A-Bin Event Recycling Program

Thank you for helping Keep San Antonio Beautiful by providing recycle bins at your event. Your efforts to recycle will help keep our city clean, green, and beautiful!

 

Consider that you will need at least one (1) recycle bin placed next to each trash can and at least 10 recycle bins per 1000 event participants. Always place recycle bins at entrances and exits.

Only plastic bottles and cups and aluminum cans may be placed in the recycle bins – no paper products, plastic wrap or plastic bags, please! Cardboard should be collected separately.

Monitor your bins for non-recyclable items – signs or volunteers can help everyone do the right thing! When the bag is 2/3 full, replace the bag and dispose of the recyclables properly.
